Add shortening to sugar, mix until creamy.

Mix in corn syrup and sorghum.

Dissolve baking soda to hot water. Add to mixture.

Roll into one inch logs, then let rest in refrigerator for 2 days.

Preheat oven to 350.

Cut logs into quarter inch slices and lay on cookie sheet.

Cook for 20 minutes until brown
