Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsall purpose flour
  2. 4eggs
  3. 1 tbspbaking powder
  4. 1/4 cupsugar
  5. 1/4 cupmargarine
  6. Cardamon 4 ponds open and seeds crushed
  7. 1 tspVanilla essence
  8. Deep frying oil

Steps

  1. 1

    In a bowl beat the eggs, cardamon, margarine, sugar, vanilla essence and like 2tbsp till well combined

  2. 2

    Sieve the flour and baking powder and add to the liquid mixture little by little kneeding till it forms a dough like consistency (not so firm but light as for mandazis?

  3. 3

    Cover with a clear film paper and let it sit in a warm corner for 10-15min

  4. 4

    Roll out to a 2 cm thick circle.using a doughnut shaper cut into circles

  5. 5

    Let rest for another 5-10 min

  6. 6

    Deep fry to golden colour in hot oil

  7. 7

    Enjoy with a hot cup of lemon tea.
