In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Brown pork chops on both sides.

Spray the inside surface of a slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.

Arrange sliced onions in the bottom and place pork chops on top of onions. Place sweet potatoes on top. Pour broth over everything.
