In a large bowl, sieve together ( 2 - 3 times ) the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda.

In a separate bowl, add butter, condense milk and vanilla; beat well.

To this wet mixture, add the dry mixture and aerated cola alternately.

Pour the batter in a greased cake pan and bake for 35 - 40 mins in a pre heated oven at 180*C. Bake the cake until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.

After baking, remove the cake on a wire rack and allow it to cool. Cut the cake horizontally.

Soak both halves in the cherry syrup and sandwich the two layers with cream and pitted cherries.

Cover the top and sides with whipped cream and cherries, sprinkle grated chocolate.

Chill and serve cold.
