Cut chicken into bite sized pieces.

Combine sherry and cornstarch. Marinate chicken in this for approximately 30 minutes.

Mince garlic and shallots.

In a pan saute garlic and shallots in oil. Add broccoli and saute until it just begins to turn bright green. Add approximately a quarter cup of water allow to steam until the water is steamed off and broccoli is tender crisp. Remove from pan into bowl, cover with plastic.

Saute chicken in pan 2 batches until cooked through. Return broccoli to pan toss with chicken and serve.
