Ingredients

  • 1/2 cupShortening or butter
  • 1 cupSugar
  • 2 eachEggs
  • 1 cupMashed bananas
  • 1 tspBaking soda (dissolved in 4 T. milk)
  • 1/4 tspVanilla
  • 1 cupFlour
  • 1 tspBaking powder
  • 1/4 tspSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Cream sugar and shortening

  2. 2

    Add beaten eggs and bananas

  3. 3

    Add vanilla

  4. 4

    Dissolve soda in milk, then add to mixture

  5. 5

    Add flour, baking powder, and salt

  6. 6

    Pour into loaf pan

  7. 7

    Bake at 350°F for "30" minutes
