  1. 28 ozcan whole tomatoes
  2. 1 lbblack-eyed peas
  3. 1 cupchopped onion
  4. 2 quartwater
  5. 1 tbspchicken bouillon
  6. 1 1/2 tspWorcester sauce
  7. 1/2 tsporegano
  8. 1/2 tsppepper
  9. 1/4 tspthyme
  10. 1/4 tspRed pepper flakes
  11. 1 clovegarlic
  12. 1 cupcarrots, sliced
  13. 1 cupcelery, sliced
  14. 1/2 cupGreen pepper, chopped
  15. 1/4 cupparsley, chopped
  16. 2 cupcooked turkey breast (or sausage), chopped

  1. 1

    Combine 1st 11 ingredients & bring to boil. Reduce heat & simmer uncovered for 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Stir in carrots, celery, pepper & parsley - simmer 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add turkey & simmer for 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender.

Traditionally make this on New Year's Day along with cabbage (for luck and money). I usually use frozen turkey stock from Thanksgiving instead of the water/boullion.
