Ingredients

  1. Meatloaf:
  2. 1 lb.Ground beef
  3. 1 lb.Ground pork (I've also used lamb, it was delicious!)
  4. 4peices of Italian bread, ripped into peices
  5. 1/2 cupmilk
  6. 4eggs, beaten
  7. 1 tspsalt
  8. 1 tsppepper
  9. 1/2 tspseason salt
  10. 1/2 cupfresh chopped parsley
  11. 1 cupfresh grated parmesan cheese
  12. 1 packagebacon
  13. Sauce:
  14. 1/2 cupketchup
  15. 1 tsp.Ground mustard
  16. 6 tbspbrown sugar
  17. 4-5 dashesWorcestershire
  18. A fewdashes of hot sauce or saracha (as much as you enjoy)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 350°

  2. 2

Place your peices of bread in a large mixing bowl and pour milk over top and allow to soak for a few minutes

  3. 3

Once your bread has soaked up the milk, add in the rest of your meatloaf ingredients (besides bacon) and mix together thoroughly with your hands.

  4. 4

Using a broiling pan (I believe this type of pan is important, so it can allow the grease to drain out and you won't be left with a soggy meatloaf) place your meat on your broiling pan and shape your meatloaf.

  5. 5

Horizontally place each peice of bacon over your meatloaf and tuck the bacon underneath the meat at the bottom.

  6. 6

Now make your sauce, simply just mix all ingredients together.

  7. 7

Evenly coat meatloaf with just a few spoon fulls of the sauce.

  8. 8

Place meatloaf uncovered in the oven and bake for 45 minutes.

  9. 9

After 45 minutes, spread a few more spoon fulls of sauce over the meatloaf and place back in the oven for an additional 20-30 minutes

  10. 10

(Tip: when the meatloaf is finished cooking, I like to slice it and put it back in the oven for 5-10 minutes)

  11. 11

Serve with a spoonful of sauce with each slice! Enjoy!
