I often serve this to my family during the winter. Everyone looks forward to the umami of the daikon radish and chicken, so we tend to stick with these basic ingredients without adding anything else to it.If you prepare the chicken as described, it's very flavorful! This is a meat (niku) and potato (jaga[imo]) stew that is a common staple of Japanese home cooking. Again, this dish normally includes a sliced onion fried with the beef in step 2. Add it in if you like, as well as other vegetables like carrots and daikon radishes. 🇯🇵 #12plates 蛟龍Stormwyrm -
[Slow Cooker Recipe] Japanese-Style Beef Tendon and Miso Stew [Slow Cooker Recipe] Japanese-Style Beef Tendon and Miso Stew
Inspired by MASA and Bizai recipes. To remove the odor, boil the daikon radish first; steam the beef ribs in a rice cooker to remove excess fat; blanch the beef tendon before cutting for easier slicing; use a spoon to cut the konjac for more angles. Add a generous amount of chopped green onions for a perfect appetizer, great both hot and cold. Once the slow cooker is done, do not keep it warm, or the beef will turn from tender to dry and hard. 吃貨空姐Translated from Cookpad Taiwan -
Beef Stew Beef Stew
I adjusted a recipe I had for a while to create my own taste. The key is to cook the chicken after coating it in salt, pepper, and flour. When adding it back into the pot from the plate, add it together with the meat's juices. It's good even without white vinegar. Recipe by LittleBird cookpad.japan -
Beef Stew Beef Stew
It’s funny... I made some chili last week. As I was thinking in my head, “What the hell goes in chili”? I started saying, “Wait, no. This is sounding like a beef stew”. So... I decided to make a beef stew now. It’s cold now and these dishes warm the soul. I never appreciated beef stew when I was younger. But I realize how fine of a dish it is in my older age haha. Karl -
Pressure Cooker Chinese Beef Rib and Tendon Stew Pressure Cooker Chinese Beef Rib and Tendon Stew
This recipe is much like a pot roast but with chinese flavors. Its deeply savory, rich, and satisfying. It's well worth the effort to find beef tendon for this recipe as it is full of collagen and had a satisfying chew. Chu hou paste can be found at any Asian market or online but if you can't get the chu hou paste, you can approximate it with 1 Tbsp miso, 1 Tbsp hoisin, 1 Tbsp tahini, and 1 tsp of sambal.
