Ingredients

30 minutes
  1. 1/4 cupsplit dried fava beans (about 45 grams)
  2. 1onion, chopped
  3. 1red bell pepper
  4. 2green onions (if available)
  5. 1 cupchopped parsley (about 30 grams)
  6. 1 cupchopped dill (about 30 grams)
  7. 1 tablespoonground coriander
  8. 1 1/2 cupsoil for frying (about 355 ml)
  9. Spices
  10. Salt

    Soak the fava beans in plenty of water in a bowl for 10 hours, then drain and rinse well.

  2. 2

    In a bowl, combine the fava beans with the remaining ingredients.

  3. 3

    Place the mixture in a food processor and blend until smooth. Let it rest for 15 minutes.

  4. 4

    Heat the oil in a pot over high heat.

  5. 5

    Shape the mixture into patties using a falafel mold or your hands, and carefully place them one by one into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, then remove and drain.
