Ingredients

1 Hr 30 Mins
14-16 doughnuts
  1. 3 CupsFlour (I used self raising)
  2. 1 TbspInstant Yeast
  3. 1/4 CupSugar
  4. 1/4 TspSalt
  5. 1 CupWarm Milk
  6. 1/4 CupVegetable Oil
  7. 2Eggs, Beaten
  8. About a Cup Oil to fry
  9. For the Glaze:
  10. Cinnamon Sugared: 2 Tbsp Sugar
  11. 1/2 CupMilk
  12. 1/4 TspCinnamon powder
  13. 2 dropsvanilla Essence
  14. Chocolate Fudge: Icing Sugar (sieved)
  15. 3 TbspCocoa (sieved)
  16. 120 gMargarine
  17. 1 TbspChoco Primo (sieved)
  18. 6 TbspMilk

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix Flour, sugar, yeast and salt in a large bowl. Make a well in the centre and add - milk, eggs and oil.

    Mix and form a soft dough. Cover and let it rise for about and hour.

  3. 3

    Roll out dough once risen.

  4. 4

    Cut out your doughnuts with your cutters. Set aside for a second rise about 30 Mins.

  5. 5

    Heat oil in a deep frying pan - fry your doughnuts for about 3 mins or until golden brown. Drain and set aside to glaze or have them plain.

  6. 6

    Cinnamon glaze: Warm Milk and sugar until it disolves. Add cinnamon and mix well. Add few drops of vanilla and stir well.

  7. 7

    Fudge Glaze/Icing: Melt Margarine, add milk and boil for 1 min. Remove from heat and icing sugar, cocoa and choco primo and mix. Ready to use.

    Enjoy with a Cuppa tea/ coffee!!
