It's a Mughlai dessert with rich creamy taste that envelops the taste buds

Put the milk to boil after mixing cardamom powder in it. After it starts boiling, simmer it till it thickens and gets reduced to 750 ml.

Soak the rice flour in a bowl with some milk.

Soak saffron strands in a bowl with some lukewarm milk.

When the milk has reached the desired consistency, add the saffron mixture along with the soaked rice flour mixture slowly while stirring. Stirring is important else lumps will form and the rice flour will settle at the bottom of the pan.

Add the sugar and half of the dry fruits. Stir again till sugar dissolves.

Simmer for 10 more minutes till a homogenous thicker mixture is obtained.

Pour the firni in the serving bowl while it's hot else it will settle in the cooking pan only.

Now garnish with the remaining finely chopped dry fruits.

Your zafrani firni is ready to mesmerise your tongue.
