Steps
- 1
Take wheat flour in a bowl. Add a teaspoon of melted ghee in it.
- 2
Add water and start kneading. Make a soft dough and knead for another 5 minutes to make it smooth.
- 3
Grate or finely slice the jaggery in another bowl.
- 4
Take a small portion from the dough and a smooth ball.
- 5
Roll it with a rolling pin into a chapati. The chapati should be slightly thick.
- 6
Now spread the jaggery in the half portion of the chapati while leaving around half inch on the sides.
- 7
Sprinkle a pinch of black pepper on the jaggery for extra flavour.
- 8
Apply ghee all over the ends of the chapati and fold it into half.
- 9
Press the edges so that both the layers of the chapati stick together.
- 10
Now start folding the chapati from the top and then pinch.
- 11
Heat a tava and grease with some ghee.
- 12
Put the chapati on the tava and roast from both sides while adding ghee.
- 13
Roast the chapati until it turns golden brown.
- 14
Cut it into half and serve immediately.
