Ingredients

  1. For sugar syrup
  2. 1 cupsugar
  3. 1/2 cupwater
  4. 1/4 tspcardmom powder
  5. For chum chum
  6. 18bread slices
  7. 4 tbspDesiccated coconut
  8. 1 tbspsliced almonds
  9. 1 tbspsliced pista
  10. 2 tsppowder sugar
  11. 1/4 tspcardmom powder
  12. 1/2 cupfresh cream /malai
  13. Pinchfood colours (green, orange)
  14. as neededColoured sugar balls for garnishing

Steps

  1. 1

    Take a pan and add sugar, water cook this on a high flame while stirring continuously, bring it to a boil then switch off the flame

  2. 2

    Add cardmom powder, let it cool in room temperature

  3. 3

    Meanwhile, take a bowl, add fresh cream/malai,powdered sugar, sliced almonds & pista, mix well, Refrigerate for 2 mins

  4. 4

    Now take a bread slice & cut in rounds using a cutter or cup of small bottle

  5. 5

    Take out the malai mix from the fridge after 2 mins

  6. 6

    Take round slice of bread and spread the malai on it. cover it with another round slice of bread. Keep aside and make more

  7. 7

    Take sugar syrup in 3 different bowls, in one bowl add green food colour and in another orange colour & in one bowl dont add any colour

  8. 8

    Nw dip the chum chum in 3 diff colours

  9. 9

    Coat it with desiccated coconut & keep on a serving plate

  10. 10

    Garnish bread chum chum with coloured sugar balls

  11. 11

    Yummy malai bread chum chum is ready to serve
