Japanese Takoyaki!

These are the famous round balls made from a pancake-like batter, very popular here in Japan. They are filled with pieces of octopus, cabbage, green onions, leeks, and pickled ginger (benishoga). You can also create other fillings, but the traditional ones are with these ingredients.
Steps
- 1
Gather the ingredients. Mix the flour and season it with dashi, then beat everything with the egg and water. Oil the takoyaki pan and heat it up. Add the batter and in each hole, place the octopus, then the cabbage, green onions, and pickled ginger.
- 2
Cook and turn them with sticks; it's more practical and the balls will form with all the filling inside. Check that they are firm and have a nice color, which means they are done. Turn off the heat and start removing the takoyaki. They turned out spectacular. Drizzle with takoyaki sauce and aonori.
- 3
Finally, add katsuobushi (shaved bonito flakes) and mayonnaise. Itadakimasu! They are served and delicious.
