Love it when people visit and I have an excuse to make dessert. This salted caramel banana tarte tatin is super easy using ready made pastry.

Love it when people visit and I have an excuse to make dessert. This salted caramel banana tarte tatin is super easy using ready made pastry.

In an oven-safe 23cm pan, make a caramel using the sugar and a squeeze of lemon, sprinkle sea salt.

Slice 3 bananas, place them in the caramel, cut a sheet of ready made puff pastry in the shape of the pan, cover the pan with the pastry and bake at 200C for 25mins.

Cool for 10mins, upend onto a plate. Serve with ice cream and chopped hazelnuts.
