Ingredients

  1. 500 gmsmutton
  2. 2-3medium sized onions
  3. 1 tspginger garlic paste
  4. to tasteSalt
  5. to tasteChilli powder
  6. 1 1/2 tspgaram masala
  7. 300gms-400gms curd
  8. Handfulalmonds
  9. 1 tsppoppy seeds
  10. 2 cupswater
  11. Handfulcurry leaves
  12. as neededFresh coriander for garnish

  1. 1

    Finely chop onion. Heat a thick bottomed pan or a cooker, put the chopped onion and let it fry.

    Add ginger garlic paste once onion starts turning brown. Mix well. Now add cleaned mutton pieces.

    Mix well and allow it to cook till mutton changes colour

    Add salt and chilli powder as required. Mix well

    Add garam masala

    Add curd

    Mix well and let it cook for 3-4mins

    Add 2 cups of water and cook the mutton for five whistles

    Keep simmering the mutton

    Make paste of soaked almonds and poppy seeds. Mix it in the curry and let it simmer for 5-10mins. Garnish with fresh coriander.
