Ingredients

1 hour
  • 1 kgbottle gourd
  • 1 kgfull cream milk
  • 100 grammawa or khoya
  • 400 gramsugar or according to your taste
  • as neededSome mix dry fruits like almonds cashew etc
  • 2 tbspghee

Steps

  1. 1

    Boil milk in heavy bottom pan or kadhai.

  2. 2

    Wash and Grate lauki and squeeze the juice from it and put in the boiling milk.

  3. 3

    Keep cooking the lauki in milk till the milk is absorbed. Keep storing in between.

  4. 4

    Now add ghee and cook few minutes more and the add grated mawa /khoya and cook few minutes more

  5. 5

    Now add sugar and mix well. Keep stirring in between so that it doesn't stick in the bottom line

  6. 6

    Now crush half dry fruits and mix in the halwa and switch off the flame.

  7. 7

    Garnish with remaining dry fruits and serve
