Ingredients

4 servings
  • 1/2 cupbuckwheat/Kuttu Flour
  • 1/2 cupAmarnath/Rajgira flour
  • to tasteSendha Namak
  • 2 tsp +1 tsp Oil
  • As requiredWater
  • For Filling
  • 1/4 cupground Chironji
  • 1medium boiled potatoes, cubed
  • 3/4 teaspoonRed Chilli powder
  • to tasteSendha Namak
  • to tastePepper
  • 1/4 teaspoonCardamom powder
  • 2 tbspchopped Coriander leaves
  • 2 tbspGhee
  • 1 teaspoonCumin seeds
  • For deep fryingOil/ Ghee

Steps

  1. 1

    In a bowl, add buckwheat, amarnath flour and sendha namak. mix well

  2. 2

    Add oil, adequate water and knead into dough

  3. 3

    Coat with 1 teaspoon oil. cover and keep it aside

  4. 4

    Heat ghee in a pan and splutter cumin seeds

  5. 5

    Add chironji and potatoes. mix well

  6. 6

    Saute until chironji is well fried

  7. 7

    Add in cardamom, rock salt, chilli powder and pepper. mix well for a minute

  8. 8

    Add in coriander leaves and mix well. keep it aside

  9. 9

    Roll the dough into slightly thicker circles and cut into halves

  10. 10

    Apply water over the edge

  11. 11

    Take 1 half.l fold straight edge at centre and join overlapping the other edge to form cone

  12. 12

    Fill cone with filling. gently seal edges completely

  13. 13

    Deep fry over medium heat until golden brown

  14. 14

    Fry few green chilies as accompaniment until it lightly changes colour

  15. 15

    Drain excess oil over tissue paper

  16. 16

    Serve hot with chillies and chutney
