Ingredients

  1. 4 pcsKatla fish (300 grams)
  2. 1 tspblack pepper powder
  3. 3 tbsponion paste
  4. 1 tbspginger-garlic paste
  5. 1 tbspgreen chilli paste
  6. 1 tbspcurd
  7. 2 tbspcashew paste
  8. 4 tbspcrushed khoya
  9. 1/2 cupmilk
  10. 8 pcsfox nuts
  11. 1bay leaf
  12. 1whole dry red chilli
  13. 2cardamom
  14. 2cloves
  15. 1 inchcinnamon stick
  16. 1 tspsugar
  17. As required Salt
  18. 4 tbsprefined oil
  19. 2 tbspghee
  20. 1 droprose essence

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix salt and black pepper powder with the fish and marinate for 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Heat oil in a pan and fry it lightly. Keep aside.

  3. 3

    Add ghee in the same oil.

  4. 4

    Add bay leaf, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, whole dry red chilli for seasoning.

  5. 5

    Now add onion paste, ginger-garlic paste, green chilli paste and fry for sometime.

  6. 6

    Add curd, salt, sugar, cashew paste and 2 tbsp crushed khoya and stir for 1 minute.

  7. 7

    Add milk and let it boil for sometime.

  8. 8

    Add fried fish and simmer for a while.

  9. 9

    Add fox nuts, rose essence and crushed khoya and turn off the gas.
