This is what I prefer to make on Saturdays so that kids can snack on during the week they have a shelf life of 2wks but with kids a round 2-3 days the bucket is empty. What I love about this recipe it's simple to go about even for a first timer. Sorry Next time I'll remember to do a step by step procedure from kneading,cooling,rolling,cutting to deep frying.

Ingredients

Serves 6-10 people
  1. 1 kgself raising flour
  2. 1/2 cupsugar
  3. 1 tspcinnamon powder
  4. 1 tspcardamon powder
  5. 1/2 tspsalt
  6. 2 cupswarm water
  7. 1 cupmilk
  8. 1 ltrCooking oil

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix all ingredients, knead the flour to a consistent dough. leave to rest for 15 mins as you get the oil heated to the right temperature for frying. Cut into desired sizes and styles and toss in the already hot oil cook till brown on both sides and drain from the deep frying oil.
