Ingredients

  1. For the Vanilla Dough:
  2. 1/2 cup- Softened Butter
  3. 1/3 cup- Sugar
  4. 1 tsp- Vanilla Extract
  5. 1 1/4 cup- All Purpose Flour
  6. For the Chocolate Dough:
  7. 1/2 cup- Softened Butter
  8. 1/3 cup- Sugar
  9. 2 tbsp- Cocoa Powder
  10. 1 1/4 cup- All Purpose Flour
  11. 1 tbsp- Milk (only if it's too crumbly)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Start by making the vanilla dough. Cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Add in the vanilla and mix. Gradually add in the flour, and mix until it forms a dough.

  2. 2

In another bowl, make the chocolate dough by once again creaming the butter and sugar. Add in the cocoa powder and combine. Gradually add the flour and mix.

  3. 3

NOTE: the chocolate dough may be crumbly and hardly coming together, if that's the case add in the 1 tbsp milk to easy things up. If your dough came together nicely, then there is no reason for the milk.

  4. 4

Cover both doughs with cling film and chill in he fridge for 15 mins.

  5. 5

Roll out the vanilla dough and cut it out into a 7x7 inch square.

  6. 6

Do the same thing with the chocolate dough.

  7. 7

Now cut each of the squares into 3 equal strips.

  8. 8

Stack one of the chocolate strip in between two vanilla dough strips.

  9. 9

And one vanilla in between to chocolate strips

  10. 10

Now cut both of them in halves and join with the opposite one to form something like this:

  11. 11

Chill this for about 30 mins in the refrigerator

  12. 12

Preheat the oven to 180 C degrees

  13. 13

Line a large baking tray with parchment paper.

  14. 14

Start cutting the dough into thin slices (makes 30 each)

  15. 15

Place the baking tray in the oven for about 10 mins or until the cookies are golden brown

  16. 16

Leave to cool and enjoy!!!! :)
