Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 c.wheat flour
  2. 1/4 c.unsweetened dark cocoa powder
  3. 1/2 c.sugar
  4. 2 tsp.baking powder
  5. 1 1/4 c.whole milk
  6. 2 tbsp.butter
  7. Pinchsalt
  8. Whipped cream, for serving
  9. Chocolate sauce for serving

Steps

  1. 1

    In a large bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and baking powder. Whisk to combine.

  2. 2

    In a separate large bowl, combine milk, and butter and whisk until combined. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

  3. 3

    Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon butter.

  4. 4

    Pour about 1/4-cup pancake batter onto the pan, spreading it out evenly. When a lip forms around the edge of the pancake and little bubbles appear, flip and continue cooking on other side

  5. 5

    To serve, layer pancakes with whipped cream, and top with a dollop of whipped cream and a chocolate drizzle.
