Steps

Preheat oven to 400*. Line 9x13 glass dish with aluminum foil, bringing foil up sides of pan.

Rub butter on the foil.

Line foil with saltine crackers.

In saucepan, melt 2 sticks of butter.

Add brown sugar and stir in with wire whisk over medium heat until boiling (3-5 min). (Be sure the butter/sugar are well mixed. It will look like caramel sauce.)

Slowly drizzle sauce over the crackers until all gone.

Put in preheated oven for 9 minutes and then remove.

Sprinkle chocolate chips on top as soon as you remove from oven and allow melting for 2 full minutes.

Spread chocolate with knife.

Sprinkle chopped nuts on top if desired.

Cover with foil and refrigerate.

Peel off foil and break/cut pieces and enjoy!
