Ingredients

  • 1small size pumpkin
  • 1 bowlchana daal
  • 1tomato
  • 1onion
  • 1/2 tea spooncumin seed
  • 1/2 tea spoonred chilli
  • to tastesalt
  • 1/4 tea spoongaram masala
  • 1green chilli
  • 1/2 tea spoonchopped garlic
  • 1/4 tea spoonturmeric powder
  • 1/2 tea spoonchopped ginger
  • 1/2 ltrwater

Steps

  1. 1

    Pick and rinse chana daal well in running water

  2. 2

    Soak the dal in enough water for 15 min

  3. 3

    Add 2 teaspoon ghee in cooker

  4. 4

    Add cumin seed,garlic,ginger to it and then add onion tomato and stir till it gets brown after that add all the masalas and stir till it leaves ghee

  5. 5

    Drain daal and then add them to pressure cooker along with turmeric powder and pumpkin with 1/2 lt water and stir well

  6. 6

    On high flame,pressure cook it for 6 whistles till the daal is well cooked or get soften

  7. 7

    Daal kaddu is ready and serve it with chpati
