Ingredients

  1. 6Bread slices
  2. 1Onion rings
  3. 1Tomato rings
  4. 1Capsicum rings
  5. As neededButter
  6. 2 tbspSev
  7. 1/4 cupgreen chutney
  8. 1 tspoil
  9. 1 tspmustard seeds
  10. 1/2 tspcumin seeds
  11. 1 inchGinger
  12. 1/2 tspturmeric / haldi
  13. 1/2 tspKashmiri red chilli powder
  14. 2boiled potatoes
  15. 1/4 tspChat masala
  16. 1 tspsalt
  17. 1 tbspcoriander leaves

Steps

  1. 1

    Firstly, in a large kadhai heat 2 tsp oil and add 1 tsp mustard, ½ tsp jeera, 1 inch ginger.
    saute and allow to splutter.
    further add 2 boiled and mashed potato. I have pressure cooked Potatoes for 3 whistles.

    Also add ½ tsp turmeric, ½ tsp chilli powder, ¼ tsp chaat masala and ½ tsp salt.
    mix and mash potato well.

    Turn off the flame and mix 2 tbsp coriander leaves. aloo masala stuffing is ready.
    spread green chutney over 2 bread slices.
    Top on one bread slice with 2 slices of onion and 5 slices of tomato.

    Sprinkle a pinch of chaat masala to season vegetables.
    Now spread a tbsp of prepared aloo masala.
    also top with 2 rings of capsicum and sprinkle chaat masala.
    Cover with another bread slice and spread ½ tsp butter.

    Toast the sandwich with some butter to golden and crisp.
    spread ½ tsp green chutney and cut the masala toast sandwich into 4 pieces or 6 pieces.
    finally, sprinkle sev and chaat masala before serving masala toast sandwich.
