Strawberry and Pineapple Pie

My daughter likes this fruity combination a lot,so I thought of baking it for her today.Strawberry and pineapple coated with some powdered sugar and cornstarch when baked taste too good and just melt in your mouth.Fruit juices oozing out of the pie crust are so inviting that you can’t resist yourself from having an extra piece.It's super yummy and a must try recipe.
Not just the traditional Apple pie but you can bake a fruit pie with any combination of fruits you have in your refrigerator.It turns out yummy giving a different flavour each time.

Dice the pineapple and strawberries in pieces of about 1 inch thickness.Transfer into a bowl and add 1/2 cup powdered sugar and cornstarch to it.Mix well and Keep it in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes.In the mean time we’ll prepare the dough for pie crust.

To prepare the dough mix flour,baking powder and 1/2 cup powdered sugar in a bowl.Add soft butter to it and mix well.Add very little water at a time and knead a semi soft dough.Put it in an airtight container and keep it in the refrigerator for about half an hour.

Take out the dough from the refrigerator.Divide it into two halves.Roll one half into a big circle.This has to be bigger than the tin as we will also be covering the sides of the tin.Grease the tin and place this dough circle carefully over it.Stick it around the edges nicely and cut off the extra dough.Now fill this with the fruit filling and spread it evenly.Remember to remove the extra juice which has come out of the fruits before filling in.

Now roll the remaining dough into a big circle and cover the top.Seal the corners using a fork and make a cut in the centre using knife.Brush a little milk on the top.

Bake this for 40-45 Minutes at 180 deg.Celsius.Super tasty Strawberry and pineapple pie is ready to relish.
