Ingredients

  1. 150 gmblack beans - soaked for an hour and discard soaking water
  2. 300 gmfresh pork ribs (or pork soft bones)
  3. 6-8dried scallops - soaked till soften
  4. 2dried honey dates
  5. 8dried red dates
  6. 1 handfulgoji berries
  7. 1.8 litreswater
  8. to tasteSalt -

Steps

  1. 1

    Blanch pork ribs in a small pot of boiling water to remove scum. Remove pork ribs from pot and set aside.

  2. 2

    Combine all ingredients in a soup pot and bring to a rolling boil for 10 minutes. Then simmer on the lowest flame for about 2 hours or until the meat and beans are soft and tender.

  3. 3

    Season with salt to taste and serve hot.
