A recipe famous in every oriya household and a must have for summers

Cook rice and let it cool. Take a bowl kind of vessel and put some salt, curd and water and mix it.

Once the rice cools, put it into the curd water prepared above. This should ideally be prepared with left over rice. Lemon can also be used instead of curd

Boil the potato in a cooker for 3-4 whistles

Remove and peel. Mash the potatoes and add some salt, coriander leaves and green chillies
- 5
You can add onion as well to enhance the taste
- 6
Enjoy the rice in curd water(pakhala) with the mashed potato. You can also have fried fish and other fries with such rice preparations
