Peel bottlegourd (Lauki) and then make Lachcha with the small grater in long juliennes. Keep them in water.

Boil half cup of water in a pan then add sugar and let it dissolve. Remove white bottlegourd juliennes (lachha)from water and add the Lachcha in the pan of sugar and heat it at slow flame.Cover it and cook on slow flame for 5 minutes.

Remove the lid,and hold the juliennes in two iron skewers for 1 minute and put it again in pan

After 5 minutes the lachcha will become almost transparent due effect of sugar syrup.You can see it by holding in two iron skewers again. Let all sugar coat on white bottlegourd juliennes by cooking it.

Mix rose water in prepared white bolegourd juliennes for flavor.

Let the Lachcha cool down completely and then mix Sugar Bura with the Lachcha so that all the threads are separated.
