Sieve gram flour in a bowl. Then add salt, baking soda and water, mix it well until the batter becomes smooth. The batter should be little thick.

Meanwhile, heat a wide pan with ghee over medium heat.

When the ghee heats, hold a perforated ladle (ladle with holes) over the ghee.

Then pour a ladleful of batter over the ladle and gently tap the ladle or spread it out to let the batter fall drop by drop into the ghee.

9. Fry the boondis till they are little soft and when the sizzling sound of the ghee stop.

Repeat to finish the entire batter. Drain them and set aside.

Take sugar and water in a pan, mix well and bring it to boil until you get a single string consistency.

At this point, switch off the heat, add in cardamom powder, saffron string.

Then take all boondis in a wide bowl and pour the syrup over the boondis. Keep it aside for 10-15 minutes so that the boondis will soak a sugar syrup.

After 10-15 minutes take desire amount of boondis and start making Ladoos. Enjoy!
