In my kitchen!

My dad recently got me a breadmaker so I plan to use it a lot! I was in a hurry and I didn't want to create a mess, so I dumped some ingredients to the breadmaker. I was elated because the naan turned out so well.

Ingredients

45 mins
4 servings
  1. 1 cupwater
  2. 1egg
  3. 1 tbspbutter (I mixed it with a bit of minced garlic)
  4. 1/2 cupparsley, washed and patted dry, chopped
  5. 1/2 tspsalt
  6. 1 tbspsugar
  7. 3 1/2 cupall purpose flour
  8. 2/3 tbspinstant yeast
  9. Oil (for frying)
  10. More flour (to shape the dough)

Cooking Instructions

45 mins
  1. 1

Pour ingredients one by one as listed above. Use dough setting and wait. (Using my machine, it takes about 20 minutes) If you don't have a machine, combine flour and yeast and salt and sugar, add water and egg and parsley, knead by hand for about 5 minutes. Then add butter, knead again until the dough is pliable and smooth.

  2. 2

Let the dough rise for about 45 minutes. Then flatten it.

  3. 3

Grab a handful of dough, flatten it with a rolling pin (or your hand). Pour a bit of oil to a pan. Cook the naan in medium heat until it bubbles, flip it, then continue cooking until both sides have brown spots. Serve warm with curry.
