Steps

Sieve the flour and baking powder together.

Cut margarine into small pieces and rub into the flour to achieve a sandy texture.

Dissolve the sugar into the milk /cream

Add the liquid to the dry ingredients, mix lightly and do not overwork it.

Wrap in cling film and chill for 1hr.

Set the oven at 180c, grease the baking sheet.

Roll out 2 cm thick on a crias note floured surface cut out with a plain or fluted cutter.

Brush with milk or egg wash and bake for 15 20mins.

Allow to cool and dust with icing sugar before serving.
