Ingredients

75 minutes
  • 2large onions (cut into quarter inch wide strips)
  • 14anchovies
  • 6peeled potatoes (cut into strips)
  • 1 1/2 cupsheavy cream
  • 2 tablespoonsdry bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoonbutter

Steps

75 minutes
  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 425F (218.333C)

  2. 2

    Butter a 9 by 13 inch baking dish

  3. 3

    Spread onions evenly on bottom and place anchovies on top of the onions

  4. 4

    Place potatoes on top of the anchovies and pour in your cream

  5. 5

    Mix bread crumbs with the butter and place on top of your potatoes

  6. 6

    Place your meal onto baking sheet to catch the cream

  7. 7

    Bake in the oven until your potatoes have softened, the cream has reduced, and the dish turned golden brown. This usually takes 45 minutes
