Combine custard powder and milk in a small jug.

Stir until smooth.

Place custard mixture, sugar and remaining milk in a small saucepan over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until custard comes to the boil.

Keep stirring constantly, cook gently until the custard thickens.

At this stage you can taste it little and add more sugar if required

Cool it completely before setting in the dish

For garnishing
I crushed leftover chocolate cookies. Spread them on the base

Now pour thick custard over the crushed cookies
Spread some like a design and place half cut cherries in between.

Place the bowl in the refrigerator and served chilled custard with sugarless cookies crushed
