Squeeze the excess water from the soaked bread and the chopped onion. Add the parsley and mix well.

Add this mixture to the ground beef. Add the spices and baking powder, then mix everything together thoroughly by hand.

Mix the ketchup with the onion water. Shape the kofta onto skewers or use a round-handled wooden spoon, moistening the outside with the onion water.

Arrange the kofta on a greased baking sheet so they don't stick, cover with foil, and bake. Once cooked, remove the foil and let them brown on top.

Light a piece of charcoal on the stove, place it in the center of the baking sheet, and extinguish it with a bit of butter. Cover with foil to infuse a smoky flavor. Enjoy!
