Heat Oil, add mustard seeds, once it splutters add cumin seeds, curry leaves and green chillies, fry for few seconds and add Onions and cook till limp, add tomatoes and cook till it is mushy. Then add Oats, salt, turmeric, mix well and add water.

Cook on medium flame till oats is done and desired consistency is obtained. Quantity of water can be increased if want to have it like soft khichadi. Once done, add some finely chopped coriander leaves. This dish can made in a jiffy for breakfast or as an alternative to healthy and light dinner.
