I am going to share one of my best recipes with you. I just love the lime flavored buttercream frosting. And the sweet, salty and tangy flavored cupcakes are the one dessert you cannot say No to. 😋

I am going to share one of my best recipes with you. I just love the lime flavored buttercream frosting. And the sweet, salty and tangy flavored cupcakes are the one dessert you cannot say No to. 😋

First beat eggs and sugar till the mixture is creamy and fluffy.

Add lime zest and all the liquids except warm milk to the mixture and mix it well.

Put all the dry ingredients in a strainer and sift over the liquid mixture and fold nicely.

Now add warm milk to the mixture carefully and pour the mixture to the cupcake mould till they are fill about 3/4 way up.

Bake the cupcakes in gas mark 5 for 30 minutes. (always preheat the oven). Once they are springy on touch take them out and cool them off.

Make a sugar syrap with the ingredients mentioned in buttercream ingredients sections (except the butter) and cool it down a bit. Add the syrap into the soften butter and beat it well till the mixture is smooth. If the butter seems a bit runny for the warm sugar syrap, put the mixture in the freezer for 15 minutes then take it out and beat it in high speed until it becomes fluffy and smooth.

Now decorate your cupcakes with that yummy frosting.
