Spring in Snow Garden

Real name: Skillet Shrimps in Tomatoes and Crumbled Feta. :P
Another skillet recipe from a woman without an oven. This dish has fragrant taste from the herbs and an exotic feel due to its Greek origin.

Cara Membuat
- 1
Start by cutting your onion from root to tip into 2 halves.
- 2
Hold the end of one half...
- 3
...and slice thin strips without cutting them off. Then in opposite direction to make a dice.
- 4
Mince your garlic rather finely.
- 5
Thaw your frozen shrimps if you're using frozen. I am using fresh. Devein them and clean from all those wrinkly legs.
- 6
Heat a tablespoon of the infamous Happy salad oil (or any regular vegetable oil, really) and saute your onions for around 3 minutes.
- 7
Add in your minced garlic and saute for another 1-2 minutes.
- 8
Add in your hot chicken broth / wine / beer / hot water. Any liquid of your choosing is fine.
- 9
Add in 300ml of marinara sauce. Feel free to use canned whole tomatoes, diced tomatoes, stewed tomatoes, or puree tomato sauce.
- 10
Add in a sprinkle of rosemary. Don't get crazy as rosemary is VERY fragrant. Add in your shrimps and cook until they are opaque and pink.
- 11
Prepare your goat feta cheese. It's crumbly and delicate compared to other types of cheese and I love, love, love it when they're crumbled into tomato sauce.
- 12
Carefully keep the rest of the package if you're using the frozen one. Do not let the whole thing sitting at room temperature for too long.
- 13
One minute before you finish, crumble most of the cheese into your sauce. Serve the shrimps and a good portion of tomato sauce and garnish with additional feta crumbles.
- 14
Add in a sprig of basil to beautify the dish. Why? Because that's what I do when I post my recipes online.
Enjoy! :)
P.S. Look at my pretty basil sprig among the cheese. I just had to change the name of the recipe, don't you agree?
