Wash and soak the urad daal in sufficient water for about 8 hour or overnight., take a mixer grinder grind urad dal, green chillies, ginger, jeera, black pepper add little water.

Grind to a very fine smooth paste

Heat the oil in a deep non-stick pan, drop spoonful of the mixture using your fingers and deep-fry pakodas at a time, on medium flame till they turn golden brown in colour from all the sides. Drain on an absorbent paper.

Serve hot with chutney and fried green chillies.
