Wash and soak moong dal for 1 hour. Then boil the dal adding little water.

In a pan take some oil add jeera, curry leaves and chopped chillies and a pinch of hing.

As it crackles add the boiled dal. Add salt and little water. Give it a boil. Remove in a bowl and sprinkle some red chilli powder and amchur powder and serve hot with rotis. Serve onion and chutney along.
