Soak the Matar dal overnight. Now give 4 whistles in a pressure cooker.. Keep it on cooker till the cooker not open by itself.. Take a pan add mustard oil heat the pan for a while.. Now add green cardamom and the sticks of cinnamon saute them for 1 minute then add diced onion, slit green chilli, chopped ginger saute them until the onions get cooked.. Now add turmeric powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder, Salt to taste mix all well..

Now add the boiled Matar dal mix it well with all spices.. Let it cook for 5 minutes in medium flame.. Now add crushed dried fenugreek leaves and ghee mix it well.. Lastly add lemon juice and cover the pan letter daal cook for 2 minutes on low flame... Matar dal Tadka is ready to serve..
