Besan ka halwa is a traditional rich sweet dish. It is perfect for celebrations and festivals. Easy to make and makes for a healthy dessert.

Take a heavy bottomed skillet. Put pure ghee in it.

When the ghee gets heated put besan in it. Fry the besan on medium heat until it turns brown and a nice aroma starts to come from it.

Add water and milk and cook till they are absorbed in the besan.

Add sugar and cardamom powder and cook for 5-6 minutes on low heat until ghee starts to separate.

Besan halwa is ready. Serve it in a bowl and garnish with almonds and cashew slivers and raisins. Serve hot.
