Ingredients

15 minutes
2 people
  • 1/4 cupgram flour/Besan
  • 1 tablespoonrice flour
  • 2medium sized onion
  • 1/4 teaspoonturmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoonred chilli powder
  • 1green chilli chopped (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoonsalt
  • 1/2 teaspoononion seeds
  • PinchAsafotida
  • 2 cupcooking oil for deep frying

Steps

15 minutes
  1. 1

    In a bowl mix gram flour,rice flour,salt,Asafoetida & all other ground spices.

    Then add thinly sliced onions into the mixture and add water little by very little until the mixture come together or you are able to form a dough like structure with the mixture.

    Now heat the oil in a heavy bottomed pan & deep fry the mixture forming a fritter like shape untill the turn golden brown & crisp.

    Soak the extra oil with a paper towel & enjoy the Bhajia with a cup of hot tea or you can also enjoy them with tangy green chutney.
