Chilli Chicken with a twist in the recipe

My love for chicken is unavoidable whatever preparation it may be. I and my wife Manasi have tried many chicken recipes – some from cooking shows, some from blog posts and some from cooking books as well. Our love for eating chicken has never diminished. We love to try different chicken dishes in restaurants and some we have liked and some had not been able to tickle our taste buds as we had expected. But never mind, we have not stopped trying new stuffs whatsoever.
Like how we try new chicken dishes in restaurants, we keep experimenting with various recipes of chicken. When it comes to experimenting, we try give a twist to the existing recipe and sometimes come up with something creative from our creative mind. Yes of course some goes well and some do not come out well as we would have expected it to be. But that had never hold us back in trying something new the next time.
With the zeal of experimenting new stuffs I and Manasi thought of giving a bit of twist to the well-known recipe of chilli chicken and see how it would come. Let me share the recipe with all you people.
The change or twist that we tried in the recipe was not using vinegar to marinate the chicken pieces, which did not offer the typical chilli chicken taste. I used black pepper powder instead. The other change I tried out here is inclusion of Oyster sauce while cooking and less of soya, tomato and chilli sauce. The experiment was successful making the taste a bit different.

No fry chilli chicken No fry chilli chicken
Chilli chicken is a popular Indo-chinese preparation. In this dish mostly the chicken is deep-fried in a batter of cornflour and egg. But in this era when everyone is so health-conscious, I thought of preparing chilli chicken in which the chicken is not deep fried and yet you do not compromise with the taste. So, here I have just cooked the chicken in it's own juices and then cooked it in the prepared sauce. Chilli chicken can be served as an appetizer or with fried rice and noodles.#partyfood #indochinese The Epicurean Feast -

Chicken Bolognese Recipe Chicken Bolognese Recipe
There is one cooking show that I enjoy watching, and no it’s not any of the well known chefs/cooks…:) I have always preferred to watch cooking shows that are more traditional with simple recipes to follow. This show is based on International cuisine, and the chef has cooked all over the world, and the recipes are simple and yet so delicious. The other day I was watching a rerun of his show (vacation time), and he had this fantastic summer dish which I have made before but I had completely forgotten. My brother was coming over, we haven’t seen him in a few days, along with his dog Marka. 🙂 I decided to make this dish for dinner, and since we are all pasta lovers, Chicken Bolognese would be a great topping. The recipe has a few tweaks than the Bolognese we all know and love, instead of ground beef, I have added grated Chicken it makes this dish lighter and tastes so good. We enjoyed our meal, chatted, laughed, and had a really nice time. Charlie and Marka had a great time, playing, running into the garden and eating of course. 🙂 Foodzesty -
Steam Red Snapper in Chicken Essence Steam Red Snapper in Chicken Essence
Red Snapper is nice for steaming. We use another method to cook this dish using Chicken Essence as the main base taste for the sauce. It brings out the fragrance and umami taste of the fish to a new level. If you do not have Chicken Essence, you can replace it with chicken stock, soup or oyster sauce. Taiwanese-Style Fried Chicken Taiwanese-Style Fried Chicken
I really wanted to eat some crispy chi-pai so I tried making some with ingredients that I had at home (in this case, Gaban's jerk chicken seasoning and five-spice) to come up with an Asian-style spicy fried chicken.I tried out a lot of recipes for the seasoning mixture and managed to come up with one that kept the chicken crispy even when cool.Make sure to deep-fry the chicken crisply. The first layer of seasoning should be quite thin, with a thick layer of seasoning added after dipping the chicken in egg.Allow the chicken to sit for a while once coated with seasoning (topping the layer of seasoning up anywhere you have to). Fry the chicken once the coating is nice and moist. For 1-2 servings. Recipe by Homard Ebiko cookpad.japan -
