Ingredients

2 person
  • 500 grams mutton
  • 1 cupvegetable oil
  • 3 pcstomato(paste)
  • 10-12 clovesgarlic (paste)
  • 2 pcsmedium size onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 inchginger (paste)
  • 1 1/2 tspsalt or (as per taste)
  • 3 tbsp.coriander leaves(chopped)
  • ForDry masala (spices)
  • 1 tsp.haldi (turmeric powder
  • 3 tsp.chilli powder (Kashmiri powder)
  • 1 1/2Dhaniya (powder)
  • 1 tbsp.Kasuri methi
  • 1/2 tsp.garam masala
  • ForWhole spices-
  • 2 pcsTejpatta (bay leaf)
  • 2 pcsblack cardamom
  • 3-4 pcsgreen cardamom
  • 5-6 pcslaung( cloves)
  • 1/2 tsp.black pepper
  • 1 inchpcs daalchini

Steps

  1. 1

    Take a cooker, heat 1 cup vegitable oil and sauté chopped onions till it turns to light golden brown.

  2. 2

    Add garlic paste and sauté for a minute.

  3. 3

    Add mutton into it and fry for 4-5 minutes or till mutton changes colour.

  4. 4

    Add tomato and ginger paste together and mix well.

  5. 5

    Now add all dry spices (salt, chilli, haldi and dhaniya) and fry till oil separate the corners

  6. 6

    Add 1 ½ cup water and mix well and cover the cooker lid. Let it cook for 3-4 whistles, now open when pressure releases itself.

  7. 7

    Now increase flame to high and cook until oil starts to separates and the masala becomes dry.

  8. 8

    Add kasuri methi, garam masala, coriander leaves and cover the lid for 1-2 minutes.

  9. 9

    Transfer it to a serving dish and garnish with coriander leaves, now serve hot with chapatti, khamiri naan or butter naan.
