Melt the butter in saucepan over medium heat. Add in sugar, water and corn syrup. Bring to boiling over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved.

Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently. (it should take about 8 to 10 minutes) Once it starts getting caramelised take a small amount of mixture and drop into very cold water. It should separate into threads that are hard but not brittle.

Remove from heat
Add the nuts and mix well. Spread it on greased proof paper and sprinkle saffron and cardamom powder. Let it cool completely and break into pieces. - 4
