Ingredients

  1. Curry:
  2. 1 Tbspgaram masala
  3. 1 Tbspcurry powder
  4. 1 Tbsphoney
  5. 1small apple sauce container
  6. 4 Tbspbutter
  7. 4 Tbspflour
  8. 1/2 Tsppaprika
  9. 2 Tbspketchup
  10. 2 Tbspsoy sauce
  11. Stew Ingredients:
  12. 4Small potatoes
  13. 1 canlentils
  14. 1onion
  15. 2 Cupswater

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Make a roux by combining butter and flour in a pot in medium heat until slightly brown (don’t burn!)

    Add garam masala and curry powder to roux.

  3. 3

    Add paprika, apple sauce and honey.

  4. 4

    It should be a slight thick paste. Then add to 2 cups water on high heat.

  5. 5

    Cut potatoes and strain lentils. And add to stew.

  6. 6

    Stew on medium high heat with the lid slightly cracked for 30 minutes or until thick.

  7. 7

    Just before serving, add soy sauce and ketchup. Serve with rice.
