Salted Dark Chocolate Bark

One thing I miss since being #dairyfree is the variety of chocolate bars available in the shops. If you have a really sweet tooth then this might not be for you, but after years of eating only dark chocolate, I find I don’t like overly sweet chocolate any more. You could use any toppings you like including dried cranberries or cherries to sweeten it up.

If you have a really sweet tooth then this might not be for you, but after years of eating only dark chocolate, I find I don’t like overly sweet chocolate any more. Steps
- 1
Break up the chocolate into cubes and put them in a microwave proof bowl. Microwave for approx 2 mins, making sure to stop the microwave and stir the chocolate every 15 seconds. Continue until it’s all melted.
- 2
Pour the chocolate into a baking tin lined with parchment paper. Tip the tin to allow the chocolate to spread out along the base. I like my bark nice and thin.
- 3
Sprinkle your toppings over the chocolate, crumble the pecans with your fingers before adding. Then sprinkle with salt to finish. Go easy on the salt the first time you make this, too much really spoils it!
- 4
Chill in the fridge until set then eat!!
