Ingredients

  • 1 cupSplit chickpeas soaked for 1 hour
  • 500 gmBottle gourd
  • to tasteSalt
  • 1/2 tspTurmeric powder
  • 1 tspRed chilli powder
  • 2 tspcoriander powder
  • 1 tspcumin seeds
  • 1pinch hing
  • 2 tbspghee
  • 2 tbspfresh coriander leaves
  • 2Chopped green chilli
  • 1 tbspsugar
  • 1 tbsplime juice

  1. 1

    Heat a non stick pan add dal, lauki, Salt, Turmeric powder, Red chilli powder coriander powder, green chilli mix well and add 2cups of water,cover and cook till done.

  2. 2

    Heat non stick pan add ghee and cumin seeds when seeds changes colour add hing.

  3. 3

    Add this tempering to cooked dal and lauki mixture.mix well and add sugar and coriander leaves.

  4. 4

    Add lime juice mix well and serve hot.
